Killer - "Let food be our medicine and medicine be our food"
Millions of Americans are committing slow suicide with their unhealthy, inactive lifestyle, heavy consumption of meat, high sugar and high fat diets. Not to mention heavy smoking, alcohol consumption and drugs. All these things damage their organs and the inside of their arteries. Thus, adding more health issues to themselves and problems to the lives of their loved ones.
Once we realize the harm caused to our body by unhealthy refined, chemical saturated, deficient foods, we'll want to eliminate these killer food. Avoid when possible all microwave food. Follow these guidelines to provide the basic healthy nourishment to maintain wellness and lifestyle:
Avoid refined sugar and artificial sweeteners: That can be found in jams, jellies, yogurt, ice cream, sherbet, jello, cake candy, cookies, chewing gums, soft drinks, pies, pastries, puddings.
Avoid white flour products such as white bread, enriched flours, rye bread, dumplings, biscuits, buns, gravy, pasta, pancakes, waffles, soda crackers, pizza, ravioli, pies, pastries, cakes, cookies send ready mix bakery products. (Insist on 100% whole grain products.)
Avoid salted food such as corn chips, potato chips, pretzels, crackers and nuts.
Avoid fried and greasy food and refined white rice.
Avoid food that contains palm and cottonseed oil. (Not recommended for human consumption).
Peanuts and peanut butter that contains hydrogenated, hardened oil and any mold that can cause allergies.
Avoid Margarine - full of dangerous, unnatural, trans-fatty acids. (It's a no no).
Avoid saturated fat and hydrogenated oils - enemies that clog the arteries.
Avoid coffee, decaffeinated coffee, China black tea and all alcohol beverages.
Avoid pork and pork products especially fried and greasy meats.
Avoid smoked meat such as ham, bacon, sausage, bologna, corned beef, pastrami and packaged meat containing dangerous sodium nitrate or nitrite.
Avoid dried fruit containing sulphur dioxide - a toxic preservative.
Avoid consuming chicken or turkey that have been injected with hormones or fed with any drugs or toxins.
Read labels on canned soups for sugar, starch, flour and preservative concentration.
Avoid day-old cooked vegetables, potatoes and premixed wilted salads.
Avoid all commercial vinegar especially pasteurized, filtered, distilled, white, malt and synthetic.
Enjoy eating and protecting our health with Natural Food:
1. Raw food: Use fruits and raw vegetables especially organically grown. Enjoy nutritious variety garden salads with sprouts and raw nuts and seeds.
2. Vegetable and Animal Proteins:
a. Lentils, brown rice, soy beans or beans.
b. Nuts and seeds, raw and unsalted.
c. Animal protein - hormone free meats, liver, kidney, brain, heart, poultry and seafood. (Note: Please eat these proteins sparingly or it's best to enjoy the healthier vegetarian diet. It is best to bake, roast, Wok or broil these proteins. It is good idea to consume meat no more than 3 times a week).
d. Dairy Products - eggs, unprocessed hard cheese, goat cheese and certified raw milk. Try instead healthier soy, nut and Rice Dream non-dairy milks.
3. Fruits and Vegetables: Organically grown is always the best. (Grown with poisonous sprays and toxic chemical fertilizers are dangerous) Steam, bake, saute`, or Wok veggies for a short time as possible to retain the best nutritional content and flavor. Always enjoy fresh juices.
4. 100% whole grain cereals, breads and flours: They contain the most important B-complex vitamins, vitamin E, minerals and unsaturated fatty acids.
5. Cold vegetable oils: Extra Virgin Olive oil, soy, sunflower, flax and sesame oil are excellent sources of healthy, essential, unsaturated fatty acids. It's good idea to use oil consumption sparingly. And avoid dip frying.
Making a use of right kitchen tools at the right moment gives us happiness and adds to the flavor in cooking art. And when we serve those dishes at the lunch or dinner table then we can observe that on faces of our family members or Guests.
